Hey People, its been a while..well, I am back and here to stay( Welcome back..welcome back..welcome baaaack)...AVG being one of the most reliable with FREE anti Virus available, with the 2011 version out already,makes it number 1 anti virus mostly downloaded.Well this time round they did a bad job..apparently this Version makes computers to flood websites with unnecessary HTTP requests and in many cases prevents users from properly using their browsers.
Most users who have already installed it in their computers and have complined there browsers to shurt down unexpectdly and lose some information..well the remedy is obvoiously to uninstall it and install the old version and wait till they solve this.
Google Wave by end of 2010 it will be no more, most people haven't even realize its existence and is being axed..or is it people are too dummies to use it and thus those signed up to use it droped using it trigerring a mass withdrawal from it? In my opinion. I advice google not to shut it down complitely only put a pause on it as this is future of comunication, its just that the technology came too quickly and many users couldnt understand it to use it, with time it would pick up. blame it on Face book, twitter,msn, yahoo messenger and myspace..dominating internet communications.
So what is Google wave,..Google wave is a web-based service, computing platform, and communications protocol designed to merge e-mail, instant messaging, wikis, and social networking, all into one platform. Here you can chat REAL TIME with friends, check mail and network..You can also do daily planing for your meetings and activities in line for the day. To me, it is something that will help people balance their time spent on chatting and plans made for the day.. Trust me, people especially young people have been caught up spending long hours twitting forgetting to sturdy for their exam, or spend quality time with friends and family or complete some task..
Furthermore the people who designed Google Maps, the brothers( Jens and Lars Rasmussen) were the ones behind this. Meaning this is something..Google don't shut it down, improve it and that's iTkenyait.

Hi all..i have been down some past days but i am back on track now and planning to update regularly my blog. Truly it is not easy to update the sites like daily or every hour, you need to have topics, touch real issues and find a way to keep your readers glued on your blog. as much as I try to find loyal readers, daily life too has its plans and hey God too... so you just have to keep on going, i know one time when more word will be on the street about iTkenya then yeah...Enough said.
Dell have been on the news lately on some fault they had on their machines, apparently some students subjected the computers to some maths and the thing went dead..How can you give some instruction on computer( we are talking about dell) and then they go numb, can happen if there is a hardware faultiness after long use, but well the machines had to be taken to the Dell company and some manufacturer faults were found..now the dell company are on their toes.
so if you want to buy a dell machine or like you are going to do now, i suggest you put it on hold till this story is resolved.
I know most people have accumilated electronic junks and are looking for ways to dispose off them and sometimes get stack.

Always password protect your document on save

Remember there are windows password reset tools free on line that can override you log-in windows password so to be safe install Folder Lock to protect your important folders on flash disk and on machines.
Always have two log-in identities on your machines for all users and yours ,for purpose of privacy and data security. Make your user account private.
Buy an external hard drive (pocket size) that you can easily keep it on your safe, for data security reason and backup.
Remember to weekly unplug your computers off the internet, Local Area Network and do a virus scan on your computer.

I am having an issue with that mail server OS, for some reasons, each time the server restarts, maybe from power failures, mails don't get delivered to emails accounts, they queued up and that's when phone calls starts screaming on my desk, Arthur Simiyu a software developer sort out this.
This is what happened, may help you IT Administrator at one time: ( Error was Connection failed)
what follows should be this [root@mail ~]# /etc/init.d/amavisd restart you will get Shutting down mail Virus Scanner ( amavisd): [FAILED] Starting mail virus Scanner ( amavisd): [OK]
[root@mail ~]# telnet 127.0.0.1 10024 when it tells you are connected and gives you ESMTP amavisd-new service ready, Then you are ok, check your mail queue, you will see it delivering
back to putty, hold Ctrl and this key (..]..) then telnet> Close
close putty
If you still got problems and gives you connection fail, then type
[root@mail ~]# /usr/sbin/amavisd press enter
[root@mail ~]# /etc/init.d/amavisd restart you will get Shutting down mail Virus Scanner ( amavisd): [OK] Starting mail virus Scanner ( amavisd): [OK]

This will sort out the issue temporally at-least till the next restart. Meaning there is something which is making amavis fail, either a hardware issue or the Perl package Net::Server.

***Amavisd is the module responsible to scan mail for prostfix to deliver it.

To achieve this, they had to stay with corporate clients so as to be able to attend them..Accesskenya equipments get affected by this changes and plus there service is a bit slow.. Good thing about them is if you have good PR with there support desk, then you wont have trouble being sorted out with desktop support. Also they go down to the roots and support home internet connection and corporate connection even to small firms, hence large market to handle.
So who is the best, I guess it depends with you needs
Most of you don't remember but, this was a way back method of internet connection before broadband came in and now fiber-optic. This is the method that when you had to go to internet it will dial up a number, keep you waiting and then connect, sometimes it fails sometimes it is perfect. The Pain in the ass comes in when now you are downloading something and you have to keep time, This is the time you say F**k off and get out of the Cyber cafe as your money is getting finished.
As this technology is being faced off, other remote areas are still using it and its because this Safaricom, Orange Modems( I hate them to love them to use) can not give good reception there..Even making moblie phone calls you have to be in a raised area or climb up a tree before calling your ngwashes..., say areas like Tsvao East National Park where i was yesterday setting up a dial up Internet connection. Apparently the K.W.S refused to give rights to Network providers to Install a Network Tower, Reason- It will interfere with nature. An Elephant may start to adopt Lions, while lions will start making babies with Impalas.Lol! Therefore when you go to this places make sure whoever wants to reach you tell them in advance you are in Kenya Afghanistan...By the way, its a nice cool, nature environment to escape to, clear your head, Enjoy Game drivers and get to see Wild Animals in close range and Plus the food, you don't wanna make you hungry.
iTkenya did his part but unfortunately the computer there didn't have a modem card, near Town areas lack this things and in M.S.A same stories, now i have to order in Nairobi and a process that could have taken 30 Min is gonna take 2 days..

So hard to work with unsettled mind, this system doesn't want to accept any instruction and the server well, at least today it has behaved, and i was able to resurrected it myself this time. I learnt a new trick though, before solving any computer problem or rather any issue, just settle your mind.
